Rance Barela - 1982 I met Rance in Denver in the early seventies. He was an excellent artist and a very loving person. His favorite medium was airbrush. He illustrated regularly for the magazine "And It Is Divine" and was a featured illustrator for Celestial Seasonings, the Aspen-based tea company. His product art included illustrations for Red Zinger, Morning Thunder and Emperor's Choice. We shared an apartment in Denver and a farmhouse in Longmont. |

James Sparks James Sparks was an artist and musician. I played music with him in the 1980's in an original jazz fusion band with the ridiculous name "Hi Fi" (thankfully shortened from "High Fiber") and later in the much cooler but strictly garage band "Science". |
